Padme Is Born

After months of putting it off...well more like months of morning sickness and fatigue, I finally decided to get my preggers Padme done. It took me a few hours to get the pattern figured out, mainly because I didn't have a pattern and had to wing it. Here's some images of the progress.












I just used one of my maternity shirts to rough cut the template. I had to cut and piece together the top part from there mostly eyballing it on the first try which was a mistake as you can see from the picture below.














I finally decided that I needed to drape this which is hard to do when you don't have the ability to drape it on yourself! So since the top part is the only part that's fitted I figured I could just put my maternity bra on my dressform and drape from there which worked beautifully as seen below.













I have to cut the collar still and the back and bottom front but I'm hopeful. The picture looks kind of weird cuz of how I had to take the picture, but when I'm not trying to take a snapshot of myself the mock up looks great. I may bring the V of the collar down a little bit more than what's there.
