Re-visiting Italy
I decided to make for myself a new Italian Ren gown. All of the Italians I've made in the past for myself I've either eBayed or given away, so I've none left. The one I am making now is inspired by the Ever After gown worn by Drew Barrymore's character at the Masque. Mine, however, is in shades of green.
I chose a beautiful light green/cream brocade with a darker green cotton woven to go undeneath. On the inset of the gown I intend on beading each little "diamond" on the dark green if I have the time. I have some light green seed beads that I could do this with.
The timeline for this is to have it all done by Sunday...and today is Thursday. We shall see! Plus I have a bodice to make for my friend Bev for her to wear with her garb on Sunday as well when we go to the Ren Fair.

You're going to have this finished by tomorrow, and you just started Thursday?!? You're my kind of insane! I guess that's why we're sisters. ;) Seriously, you'll have to teach me about things like skirt hooks, and I have to send you that unit pricing guide; you do gorgeous work and you should be paid well for it! Finally, I saw the Ever After gown on display here in FL, if you want I can go dig up my notes on it. Although Maggie probably has better exhibit notes.
